I started the Drawing-A-Day Challenge on November 27, 2011. I had no idea when I
started what subject matter I would use. My notion was that I would draw whatever
was grabbing my attention. You get better at drawing whatever it is that you draw
a lot of. For that reason alone I wanted the subject matter to be “all over the map”.
I didn’t think that I could keep the challenge going for any length of time unless
I was really engaged. It had to be fun and it had to be challenging for me in terms
of technique.
